Salento is well known for its coffee cultural heritage, its colourful houses show the legacy of the colonizers who used those striking colors to reflect the beauty that emanated the flowers of the region. One of the most important streets of Salento is the “Calle real” (Real Street) where all the people from the village show their typical handcrafts related to the coffee culture.

In the main square you can be delighted with the traditional food being Salento very famous for its delicious Rainbow trout with a huge fried flat plantain, also you will be attracted by the typical Jeeps Willys used to transport the coffee sacks through all the farms of the region.
